Scientology critic found dead in apparent suicide.

I believe this is the same guy in the british documentary I posted a while back. Shame.

So, suicide or something more sinister?

Yep, that's the guy who did the CultWatch TV show featured in the British documentary. The former "sex offender".

Maybe it was suicide. The guy didn't have much of a life for himself, apparently. But, of course, I'm not sure he'll be able to get an unbiased autopsy. There has to be Scientologists all over that area.

Wouldn't surprise me either way, whether it's suicide or murder. I don't think we'll get any reliable answers, though.

I'm actually personally guessing it was suicide. It's just an intuition.

And I don't know about getting an unbiased autopsy. The CoS knows better than to stick its nose in ant piles, so I think the autopsy will be fair unless there is something more sinister going on, but usually then the CoS has an open lawsuit going first.

I mean, the only reason they bullied Lisa McPhearson's medical examiner was because it was critical to a lawsuit.

Considering that the CoS pretty much owns Clearwater, Florida, I'd say the odds of finding out the truth from the city authorities are about as likely as Jesus and Mohammed sharing an apartment and arguing frequently with an atheist barmaid.

Then again...

I'm a former local and native of the area. The relationship between the CoS and the politics of the city is very complex, but suffice it to say that most of the locals are actually protective of the government and know the CoS will try to infiltrate it because Operation Snow White back in the 1970s was a wake up call.

In the McPhearson case, for example, the pressure on the medical examiner came from the outside, not the inside.
