Fucking hypocrite xian republicans... or not.
maybe they're just trying to hasten the return of Jesus, I dunno. Ron Paul is one of the few damned Republicans I respect, and thankfully he voted against this. Of course Tammy Baldwin(my rep) and Kucinich voted against it.
National ID, here it is. If you want public transport(interstate, I'm assuming) or access to federal courthouses, parks, etc... You need to get a card that will have "machine-readable" information in it. It's ill-defined. Perhaps it's a magnetic stripe, perhaps it's RFID tags(which can be read from a distance). If it's a stripe, I don't have quite as much of a problem, I still don't like it, but if it's RFID, and can be read while in my pocket, I have a HUGE problem with it.
Are you fucking ready? I mean, really ready? Because the shit is just gonna pile deeper and faster. I'll have to post on the blog(which, I've mentioned before, and you should add http://symbioid.blogspot.com ) my thoughts on the decline and how we need to hasten it.
Of course, it just HAD to be James Sensenbrenner, from Wisconsin, that introduced this. urgh.

The measure, called the Real ID Act, says that driver's licenses and other ID cards must include a digital photograph, anticounterfeiting features and undefined "machine-readable technology, with defined minimum data elements" that could include a magnetic strip or RFID tag. The Department of Homeland Security would be charged with drafting the details of the regulation.
