a test here, of changing my font in xjournal client. I'm using optima font. I'm guessing, but not certain, that perhaps fellow mac users may see this post in optima, but those who don't have said font will fall back on their default.

probably not. but it would be a cool feature, eh?

Now..... That shortwave radio is sooooooo fun.

I tuned in the standard time clock thing, and noticed there was an extra low buzz before the main ticks, and sometimes this buzz sorta bounced to a second buzz. Very faint, had to turn the radio all the way up, and the bass up and treble down. But I could feel it in the radio.

Second, I heard an eastern european language station. My guess is Russian or Serbian(is Serbia considered eastern or central?) Aren't they related languages? ([livejournal.com profile] _2012_om_, I'm hoping you can answer that one...)

A Chinese(or Taiwanese) language program. Very cool...

Also, something very strong is generating a very powerful alternating rumble. We live a few blocks from a power plant, and I wonder if that has any effect at that specific frequency(5252 khz I believe)

And what I believe to be an esperanto station. at first I thought it was french, but then heard what i thought was german or dutch. and some english words. these were all mushed together. so i figured it's not actually french or german, etc... but an amalgamation of sounds that are related to those. but i think that esperanto also has a strong central european tint to it, i can't recall.
