Last night, after hearing some fucking idiot "analyst"/talking-head on TV say that the Midwest Mailbox Bomber was probably linked to Militias and Anti-Semitic groups, I realized what kind of fools are giving the news. It's painfully obvious from the letter he wrote that it was someone more left of center. I figured the only reason this guy on TV was saying milita was either because he was A) a liberal or B)A right wing intelligence person who thought the text was something written to throw the govm't off course. Turns out I was right.
savage said that it sounded like some crappy Marxist rant. I kinda deduced some sort of nihilist/postmodern/anarchist. And after last night, it hit me that really it boils down to Three N's
Nietzsche: For the nihilism inherent in the letter... "Conforming to the boundaries, and restrictions imposed by the government only reduces the substance in your lives."
Nader: For the anti-corporate/media thoughts... "When 1 percent of the nation
controls 99 percent of the nations [sic] total wealth, is it a wonder why there are control problems?"
Nagarjuna: For the inherently Buddhist implications... "You do things because you can and want (desire) to. ... "; "In avoiding death you are forced to conform, if you fail to conform, you suffer mentally and physically"
Now, I'd say there's more of an anarchist bent than necessarily nihilist(and the implications of "death not being real" turns out to be more New Agey than Nihilist(New Age, one more N) And Nagarjuna preached more about Sunyata/Emptiness... I digress
