Indigo....
Indigo probably the closest ideal color for me(being between two of my favorite colors, blue and purple), is something i just noticed now as having a deep seated importance beyond a normal appreciation.
First, it's importance on the chakra "scale"
(taken from "A Brief Introduction to the Chakra System"):
Chakra Six: Light, Archetypal identity, oriented to self-reflection
This chakra is known as the brow chakra or third eye center. It is related to the act of seeing, both physically and intuitively. As such it opens our psychic faculties and our understanding of archetypal levels. When healthy it allows us to see clearly, in effect, letting us "see the big picture."
The color of the ajna chakra is indigo.
Psyche, the mind.
Psilocybin, the active chemical of "shrooms"(psychedecic mushrooms), is naturally colored blue.
Whilst reading about blotter-testing LSD, it said that if there is a blue ring that forms on the blotter paper, one has LSD.
Is it coincidence that this indigo color is representative of the ajna chakra and at the same time emitted by psilocybin and lsd?
I apologize for all these drug related posts lately. Next week there won't be any.
