Have I posted about this? This myth of Adam and Eve and Original Sin...

I realize the whole farce of it, because it rests on one central element: Their disobedience to God and his law. Now, they did not have the knowledge of Good and Evil, because they had not yet eaten of the fruit. Yet God holds them accountable, as if they are guilty, because they disobeyed him, even though they are innocent(ignorant)... He punishes not only them, but their children, and grand-children, and the patriarchal lineage of descent through families as the story of "A People" and into modern day. God, THE FATHER, punishes his children, disproportionately and in complete disregard to the facts of their complete innocence of their act.

Now, you can take this further, and say that if God had dictated "Thou shalt not...", it was HE who has thus created a schism, and introduced the fork in the path. You could also argue that "Well, God did it to protect them, telling them not to eat of the fruit, because he knew the consequences if they did."

That takes out of the account one litte thing: His complicity in putting the fruit there in the first place. He was the great tempter, for were it not by his hand, that fruit would not be there. It would be absurd to argue that God(and I use this term as the actual name of this deity, who is a larger deity who represents the male God archetype, and all the social institutions that go with it. These institutions of oppression... Prison, the polygynous lifestyle(which is NOT the nuclear family, btw), the fire and brimstone of punishment for transgression(sin), against a law which was ordained by this very deity.)

If I were a christian I would be a neo-gnostic/neo-platonic. I do think that if there is a "CREATOR", in the western monotheistic sense of the term, that creator is a demiurge. But it's much more complicated, because, in fact, I'm NOT a christian, nor a traditional monotheist. I can be considered monotheist in that I believe there is One.

But in opposition to this One, there is the Not One. The Other. This is the dichotomy in the fruit-choice. All choice is bound up in this process of picking one or the other. "The Order of Law" vs "Freedom of Choice", Daddy-State-Government vs Mommy-Earth-Anarchy...

I know what I choose. What about you?

I choose the fruit that begets, not physical seed form, but spiritual thought form... The fruit from which is begotten a dream, knowledge, wisdom, heart, soul, movement, dance, rhythm, motion, life, luscious sweet luscious life: A vulva dripping wet like a pulsating, glowing plum, so vibrant. The Mother-Matrix Womb-of-Consciousness+Spirit into a hyper-dimensional reality: Tantra, Vajrayana, Kundalini, Prana, Ruach, Breath, Chi/Ki/Qi, Universal life energy that flows in a serpentine form through everything, like rivers of water, and rivers of fire. The stone that is blown by the wind, and the wind that blows the stone.

The fruit I choose opens my mind to this knowledge, the knowledge of life, truth, beauty, reality, in all it's forms, including the not beautiful, the not life, the not real, the not truth. Altogether it is the supreme truth/not-truth of which there can be no diversion.

That is what I choose. This knowledge which liberates one from the confines of duality, in which you recognize that this duality is inherent in the One, and thus you gain supreme knowledge.
