And all of this reminded me - I wasn't expecting Kerry to make things better if he got into office, anyway. At best, he'd not make things worse. And the bad part is that it would leave this wonderfully mobilized left complacent.

I'm still negative right now, but she's inspiring, and for all of us who are dejected and jaded, she's the infectious optimism that we need. Her posts have gotten me through the day a bit.
It's gonna be rough, but she's right in this. We must NEVER hang our head in defeat. And I thought about this too: I was thinking what it would be like if Kerry won, and I just said to myself "I guess I wouldn't be crying like this..." But it's not like I would've been rejoicing, just glad we kinda got to some supposed turnaround point(but in the long run, I didn't have much hope with him...)
