Unto every one of you have We appointed a [different] law and way of life. And if God had so willed, He could surely have made you all one single community; but [He willed it otherwise] in order to test you by means of what He has vouchsafed unto you. Compete, then, with one another in doing good works! (Surah al Ma’ida 5:48)

Look at that, and tell me what you think?

My personal opinion is that it's a good thing. It's sort of the opposite of this fascistic fundamentalism. The many roads theory... Diversity and all that. That there are many paths to go by. Also, go forth and do good deeds, competing against each other. I love this idea: Love competition. Instead of fighting war with bombs, fight war with love. How much can you help each other.

I dunno exactly what I'm saying, but I think there's some sort of logic out there. Not that it's realistic, so don't think I'm saying that. I'm saying, that we need to dream and to have some sort of aspiration to the world we wish to create. We need to express that vision, and we need to make it clear to everyone, and we need to appeal to their compassion. The question then is: Can compassion conquer greed?

Is the glass half empty or half full?

See, to me, when I hear half-empty/full, i always say empty, because what i'm hearing isn't the empty, it's the half. So half empty, to me is: ONLY half empty, there's still a half to go.... Half Full means: Half full, I've already drinken a half, so I must be careful with this last half. huh? wtf...
