WTF?
What is an engineer but one who deals with flow. An engineer is an entity who pushes a fluid stream(real or abstract) through some sort of pathway, whether it be pipes, a roadway, or electrical circuits, with the intent to control that stream to obtain specific results. An orderly flow to traffic with an attempt to increase safety, and efficiency in traffic transition. An air traffic controller could be said to be a realtime engineer of air traffic, on a subpathway. The whole structure is somehow organized into a heirarchical branching, fractal network. And each of these domains. Motion through space. Conductance of electrons through wiring to create electrical logic that acts as a specific logical control. The ability to hold on to energy, release it in a spurt. The human brain is an autonomous engineer, and though mildly self-conscious, the human brain is still not quite tapped into it's latent talents/abilities. Damming the flow of water and letting the natural force of gravity in turn generate energy. Energy is a higher density network of structure, it is woven in a thin silky fabric of three dimensional matrices. Rules dictate the connection and elasticity of nodes within the energy matrix that bind other clusters of energy in a process of compactification. This is the evolution of the universe, from pure energy condensing into Matteria Plasmate. This Matteria Plasmate is like fire, but on a higher energetic level. The higher level of energy, the denser the matter, and conversely, the denser the matter, the higher level of energy. This energy is manipulated through it's generation through various means, and then shoved down pips through fat wires and cabling, to sub-districts.
A centralized energy grid is a horrific way to run an energy system.
Ultimately, I would design a decentralized energy distribution system which utilizes a variety of energy generating methods specific to it's geography. Geothermal, Hydro, Aero, Solar, Waste Recycling, Geo.
Think about the tremendous energy generated by earthquakes. What sort of energy do you think we get out of an eathquake.
