I just went through some documentation that my mom had, and traced some of it back(from Edward III and further on back... we only had to Henry III and Isabelle of Aragon), I went to Wikipedia and ended up finding a way to trace even further back.

I'm related to some pretty fucking cool people. Edward Longshanks, Holy Roman Emperor Otto, and others. If you'd like to see what info I've found so far, look behind the cut to see the brief lineage and slight notes. There's much more info on Wikipedia for many of these rulers.

William Throop (see below, was born in England and must've moved to US between 1641 and 1666(when he married Mary Chapman and had Mary Throop as a child, from whom I'm descended) In the process of coming to America, he must've changed his name as so often happened to immigrants, from Scope to Throop)

and also Isabella - 1292 Princess of France

***this is where it gets interesting...

Edward II - 1284

from Edward I - 1239 (Edward I, you may know as "Longshanks" from the movie Braveheart, his wife was Eleanor of Castile, daughter of Ferdinand III of Castile. Ferdy III was canonized by Pope Clement X in 1671 as a saint-- Eddie I not only killed William Wallace, he massacred 300 jews, and forced them to wear yellow star badges(sound familiar), and also expelled all jews
from england, 20 years BEFORE he fought the Scots and thus the events of Braveheart)

from Henry III - 1206

from King John - 1166 (Brother of Richard the Lionheart, and thus making Henry III Richard the Lionhearts Nephew)

from Henry II - 1133
from Empress Maud(aka: Empress Matilda, dispossessed daughter of Henry I)

from Henry I(aka: Henry beauclerk, inherited 5000 pounds, and succeeded his brother William II)

from William the Conqueror conquered England in 1066)

(Now the Isabella Line)

Edward III (see above)
from Isabella of France - 1292

from Philip IV of France - 1268
(On October 13, 1307, what may have been all the Knights Templar in France were simultaneously arrested by agents of Philippe the Fair(IV), to be later tortured into admitting heresy in the Order. A modern historical view is that Philippe, who seized the considerable Templar treasury and broke up the Templar monastic banking system, simply sought to control it for himself.)

from Philip III of France - 1245
from Louis IX of France - 1214
from Louis VIII of France - 1187
from Philip II of France - 1165
from Louis VII of France - 1180
from Louis the Fat(VI) - 1081
from Philip I of France - 1052

from Robert II of France - 972
from Hugh Capet of France - 938
from Hugh the Great(duke of Franks) - (died 956)
from Robert I of France - 865

from Robert the Strong
This lineage from Robert the Strong is called the Capetian Dynasty, which took over from the Carolingian Dynasty(which was Charlemagnes line), and the Carolingian took over from the Merovingian line before them...

Now Hugh the Great was married to

Hedwige of Saxony, and it was their son Hugh Capet that formed the Capetian Dynasty.
Hedwige of Saxony was the daughter of Henry the Fowler.
Her brother Otto eventually became the "first" Holy Roman Emperor.
