AdAware
GriSoft/AVG AntiVirus
----------

Two wonderful freeware programs I just found.

The first one, AdAware, removes traces of various "spyware" programs on your system. These are programs that install without your knowledge and send data to the internet behind your back. I noticed it first with a program in my task-list called WHAGENT. I did a search and found it was spyware, but the page i looked at said if you tried to remove it manually(or with the basic uninstall procedure) you could end up losing your net connection. It pointed me to lavasoft's AdAware which finds all traces of these kinds of programs both in memory and on disk... I just got rid of a lot of this shit that was tracking me... WOOHOO!!! I highly advise getting it.

If you don't have an antivirus software, and haven't bought one cuz you don't wanna pay the money, the second link is a freeware AV program with regular updates. I just installed it and now have anti-virus protection. Yes, that does mean I didn't have it before. But no longer!

I'm working on a CD-Database of my collection for my website. I'm gonna title it "Muse". I've found a program(MusicLab) that exports to ODBC, which means I can send it to MS Access. However, the newest version, 2.10 doesn't have a crack yet. Yes, I'm using shareware cracks. I'm such a pirate. But I'm also a Lamer. Oh well. If I were a hacker I'd code my own crack. heh. If I were a crackhead, I'd smoke my own crack.
Also, one of the other reasons I want this MusicLab is because it reads from CDDB, so i don't have to type all the shit in myself, for the most part. But the ODBC is what clinches it for me. I wish I had something that exported to HTML, but don't see anything like that.

It's a big project, I think.

My fucking host doesn't allow MySQL, or ODBC/MSAccess, so i can't actually have a live database, which I would really want to do. It would be good experience trying to administer it. Maybe that's why they don't allow it, cuz they don't want amateurs like me fucking shit up big-time. *sigh*... anyone know where I could store some database shit(*without* ads popping up), ideally for free, or damn cheap? I really would like to get my new site up sometime this weekend, even if it's only got a few basic things in it(ie: the gallery, maybe an essay or two...) I really want to get the experimental theory shit down, but that'll have to wait until I get it all done. I WILL get it up this weekend. Damnit.

Also, my diet is doing damn fine. I'm down to 274, from 280ish. I'm definitely losing about 2 pounds a week or so. I'm glad. It's a lot of work knowing that i"m not even close yet to my desired goal, and also that the little bit i'm doing now isn't enough to really get it all off and be truly healthy. But it's a start. I do feel much better already. I feel like I have a bit more energy, and also regained some mobility I didnt' even realize i lost...

Ok. bye.
