So, I finally got my Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix for X-Box in the mail today.

And yes, I got the dance pad.

This is a way that I figure would be a good way to get exercise.

1) I don't have to go in public. Thus, I can be alone like I like to be.
2) It's playing a game, so it's fun.
3) It's also challenging, and as such, I can compete with myself to do better and better.
4) There's a workout mode, which can let you know how many calories you've burned.

The only problem I have with it, and the reviews stated it pretty much, is that there aren't very many songs for beginners. But I'll just work on the simple ones to start even if it is only maybe like 2 songs. But it's better than nothing.

It's set up on our first floor now, but some of the moves need you to sort of jump on two buttons at once, and thus shake the floor. So....... I think I will move into the basement for stability's sake.

I paid 100 bucks for the specific pad I got, which is supposed to be one of the best soft mats. It seems to do pretty well.

Hope this helps, along with watching what I eat.

sweet. I haven't played DDR in ages, because, well, I'm no good. :) I like to watch people play. The last one I played was 3rd Mix, which also had awesome songs. They even made a Disney DDR, which was made for younger kids. It was kinda scary hearing your Disney favorites remixed all Eurobeat. :)
I haven't played or even seen many of the newer ones. I've thought about picking it up myself for ages.
