symbioidljI bought "Book of Lies" the other day(not the Crowley book, but the disinfo.com book of the same name)
It's great. Plenty of interviews/writings: Grant Morrison, Hakim Bey, William Burroughs, Brion Gyson, Tim Leary, Terence McKenna, RAW, Crowley, and in particular WRT this post: Genesis P-Orridge.
Back around 87 or 88, my sister used to subscribe to Sassy magazine. I used to read it. She ordered Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians "Globe of Frogs" and I loved that album... She didn't like it, but that mag had some fucking DAMN fine taste. I'm amazed it did as well as it did, because for a mainstream pub, it was somewhat underground in it's tastes.
Anyways, in one issue, they had taken pics of people on the street and just talked to them. One girl had a tattoo of the Psychic Cross from Temple ov Psychic Youth(TOPY)/Psychic TV, and she briefly talked about it.
Years later, I had heard of Psychic TV, and listened to some of their music, without knowing about the cross. A couple years after that, while looking into Chaos Magic(k), I saw that symbol related to TOPY, and I remembered it. And I remembered where I had first seen it.
And now, after reading the Genesis article, I realized how powerful it was. It really infected me, for a decade later, that symbol was still in my head, even though there was not much information given about it at the time.
I have awnted to design a "symbioid" log, and did at one point, but am not too fond of it. I think I'll redesign it, and instead of utilizing the number 8(I called it the Octoplex), I think I'll utilize 6. That is my sacred number. It is my favorite number. Strangely, I was taught while growing up that 6 is evil. It is the number of man, it is the number that is one short of the number 7, the number of God. It means you have missed the mark, ie: "sinned"...

vesicular said his favorite number was 2. I don't know, though, if he's attached to 2 the way I am to 6. It is also why I love hexagons so much.
And I've got a feeling that BOC really has a thing for the number 6(ie: Hexagon Sun), but I also think that they are in tune to the whole sacred geometry/numerology on a much deeper level than I. They are truly occult, and goddamnit... I LOVE 'EM!
Anyways, yeah. I think I shall design a six based logo to infect the mind of those it reaches.
