I'm assuming it's the new virus.

What pisses me off is that this is my private e-mail address, and I've specifically told people not to give it to anyone. I haven't read the specifics of the virus, but it's possible it's sent from someone I know, and that it used their address book to fake a name.

I did a search on the sender, and it led me to this:

lyrics by some fucking redneck guy(I'm assuming) called dfdub? I see the title, and I"m thinking "she was a skater girl..." or you know that sk8r boi song by that fucking "punk" bitch, Avril Lavigne...

Anyways, yeah, that scared me.

I'm thinking it could be my aunt on my fathers side who likes country. I should mention it to my parents, though, just to be safe and have them update and scan...

that virus randomizes the sender field

it scans the harddrive for e-mail addresses (.htm* and address book files) and sends itself to all of them, and chooses are 'sender' from that list.

it has its own SMTP engine so it wouldn't be using the infected host's server anyways.

so chances are, you got it from someone whose computer had that file in its web cache or something.
