that's actually where I found out about him, and then i did a search to find out more about him... And i saw that picture, and just had to post it...
You may also be pleased to know that I installed MPlayer all by my lonesome, with no whining(maybe an "aww, shit..." once or twice), and dedication through reading docs, looking info up, getting rpms, deciding to compile, then recompile with gui support, etc... I actually just bought a book "Linux Power Tools" by Roderick Smith seems to be just at my level of knowledge. Moderate user, with a nice broad overview of information on the whole system, how to tweak it(ie: hdparm, for example, is what I just read about)...
Funny enough, I saw an old(1997 or so) book by Caldera on Linux... I saw Caldera, and I was like "When the fuck was this published!" So I looked. They also had a Walnut Creek tome from like 97 or 98... I don't know what the hell they have those books on the shelf at barnes and noble for, but that's pretty sad.
I was almost tempted to get the Caldera, cuz maybe, you know some day, that might be worth something. Like enron coffee cups...
