Anyone ever have the letter people in kindergarten?

I loved these things! I never knew they were so fucking expensive, though.

I'm sure these aren't the exact same ones we I had growing up, but boy they bring but so many good memories...

I've been collecting Letter People stuff for awhile (records and books mainly). Unfortunately the new company that owns them has ruined them. They changed the actions of those letters that might be 'detrimental' for children. And the division of the sexes (where the females were the vowels and the males were the consonants) no longer exists even though personally I think that helped me remember the difference. Perhaps that is why about 80% of people my age had the Letter People when they were growing up but I don't know a single school that uses them now.

One thing I didn't know until looking up the subject, the Letter People had their own shows related to each letter. Every so often someone will be selling them on Ebay.
