Sweet.
I would like to thank
1) the cosmos for setting me up the bomb or something... The synchronicities were perfect, I've been talking about needing a car for a while, and now comes along thankee number...
2) Casey Petruzelli, aka:
treeshaman(which is her and her girlfriend, Lori)... for having the car to sell, and for giving me a discount. Casey, lest you didn't know, was our first bass player in our first band: Burnt Youth. :) I also got to see Jamie Dupras today as well, and he sang with us for a short period. I also worked at T-Bell with him for a while before moving to madison. It was good to see them both and to meet Lori. BTW, treeshaman, you two make a cute couple.
3) Rosemary, aka:
sophy for giving me a $1000 bucks towards the purchase of said car, and also letting me borrow money from our joint account to pay most of the rest of it(1400 to be paid back... woot!!!)
I was stressing about it... All worried about whether it would be a decent car. Casey told me it would be, and for the most part I believed her, but I just wanted to be safe. I really wasn't keen on how the whole society makes us such distrusting bastards... But, I thought about it, and realized I was worrying needlessly. I realized that things were lining up perfectly. The timing was just right. The money was there. All things just came out as it should, and now.......
I am the proud new owner of a 94 chevy cavalier with 42,000 miles on it. It drives smooth(hell, it even has, *gasp*... SHOCKS!!!!!!! Rosemary, you're gonna love this ride :) ) It smells so pretty and nice. And I even have a nice "beware of dog" sticker and "celebrate diversity" rainbow-flag and a bandaid with the international sign for "woman" on it... Now everyone will think I'm a butch-dyke lesbian with a goatee!!!!!!! How great!(j.k. kids...) I'm gonna get some new bumper stickers to put on now that I have a fresh surface to work with. yay!
I'm tired now, though. Had to get up at 8:30 to get there in time. Curses! How cruel is fate, the timing on the whole deal was perfect save for the specific time. 11:30... Before noon!!! OMFG! Seriously though, I don't care. I have it now and am extremely grateful. Thanks much to everyone involved(include the mighty universe itself) Rita: Cosmic order. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Date: 2003-09-14 01:01 pm (UTC)thanks for the compliment. that was sweet of you.
yes, it feels like a boat compared to some of my cars the way it handles the road. it has good gas mileage too. i filled the tank for you before heading into Ripon. make sure to fill it when it gets just under a fourth of a tank. you shouldn't let any car get empty. it's not good for it especially in winter and rainy days... room for rust...
take care and be nice to agnes...
love, Casey & Lori
