Went to buy some Guinness for Rosemary today(Extra Stout), and I'm such a wuss, I bought myself some Granny Smith Woodchuck. Yeah, I like my drinks girly... Even my hard liquor I like is girly: Rumpleminze(but hell, it's hundred proof... it'll fuck you up nice!)

Seriously though.

I brought the packs up to the counter, and the guy pointed to the Guinness and said: I hope that one's yours...

I said "yeah, and that's my girlfriends" as I pointed to the woodchuck...

Of course that was a big fat lie, but what? Should I be effete?

I thought afterwards how I shoulda said "No, honey, that woodchuck's for me, and that Guinness? That's for my strapping boyfriend." Shayla said I should said the guinness was for my "dykey girlfriend"...

LOL! That's funny as hell. Rumpleminze is hard core tho, that's no girly drink! Girly would be like Dr. McGillicutties or something.

And if you wanted hard cider, you should try to find Woodpecker. That's more hardcore than Woodchuck. Well, at least you didn't buy Boones.

I just love the visual in my head of you lying to the cashier. Hahahaha!

I find it odd of the guy to even say that in the first place. But yeah, Guinness rules the beer cooler. But there is nothing shameful about the ol' Woodchuck.

something similar happened at a grocery store once, when we were buying my favorite snack, pretzels(among other things) and the lady at the cash register said: "i'll bet these are for her..." and i said yeah even though i very much love them. I guess the assumption was, since they are low-fat i shouldn't be wanting to eat those since i am a male; hmm or else it coulda been some sort of sub-conscious comment implying that i was too skinny already!! :P lol sheesh, i hope it was the former though, or that she just wanted to make small talk cus she was bored.
