grrrr... my fucking web provider is being a bitch... i just tried logging in and it's saying invalid password. I chatted on their tech support window/chat/messenger thingy, and the guy said that my name and password worked for him(was I completely stupid for giving out my password? it is linked from their site and it's (theoretically secure)...)

Anyways, I tried again and again with different ways and old passwords, and NOTHING worked. Tomorrow I shall rant at them. And the furies of hell shall be unleashed. OK, so I wish I were that tough.

Feh.

Keep passwords of varying levels of security. Passwords for simple things like internet access can easily be devulged to tech support without a problem. Worst case scenario, you just call tech support and have them change it. Thats the kicker, the what if it gets compermised question. If its just a minor temporary inconvienience, f-- it. Now a password on a unix shell account or ftp to a webserver is a different story. Of course this becomes a big problem if you use the same password for everything.

-ray.

Well... See, that's the thing. IT was my webserver ftp password. I probably wasn't clear by saying web-provider. I should've said webspace provider or something.

Anyways, I think I should call and ask about this unprofessional conduct(ie: asking me for the password) and then beat myself over the head for falling for it(though I doubt it was a hack, this time, at least) Anyways...
