holy shit.

i just went to pricewatch, since i haven't looked at current hardware prices in a long time...

512 MB of Samsung, PC3200(DDR 400 Mhz memory) is only fucking $72!!!!

I'm pleased as punch. now it's just a matter of saving money for this shit along with car money... yikes!

hehe...pricewatch is great (but they sometimes pull the wrong price form the vendor, but not often enough to warrant complaint)- but can your 'puter handle 3200? :)

See, when I upgrade I try to think ahead... :) I got the Mobo in October last year... It was pretty new then. So yeah, it's ready for that kinda shit. Actually, I won't go through pricewatch, unless I try to find out about the vendors beforehand. I found a really good site that reviewed places, but don't remember what it was. I like newegg.com, which is where I got this shit. Fast service, everything worked. The reviews on the site I looked at gave them high marks as well. So I'll probably order memory and a cd-burner from them once I have the cash. Gotta get that gameboy gamecube adapter too...

hooray! That's a sweet mobo from last october then.. :)

And yeah, newegg.com is one of my favorite places to order from. I went through a few building the computers off pricewatch, and the one stalled shipment for a full week (even though the order was for 3 day fedex - and of course it was the mobo's and chips!). Plus, when you order ram through newegg right now you get a free hat - it's simple stuff they throw in like free pens or hats, but it's still a nice touch.
