"this year's game console wars illustrate the point, too: The entry of Microsoft's Xbox hasn't hurt first-place PlayStation 2. Instead, it bumped second-place Nintendo to third."

----------
This quote from an article about Linux made me remember a disturbing piece of news I read today. Acclaim is no longer supporting the Gamecube. Not that that matters, cuz Acclaim pretty much sucks ass. And Nintendo makes (for the most part) some of the best games. And Sega is still supporting the cube as well... So it's not too big of a deal, but it's still sad to see a company flat out declare their intent to no longer support a current console.

But I'm getting a Gameboy Player for the cube soon. Mmmmmmmmm..........

At least someday. And then a CD burner(since mine broke), and a digital-pen/tablet thingy so I can make even more precise artwork. And a larger hard drive.

Oh shit. There's that thing called a car, too.

Actually Acclaim retracted that statement, they're not dumping support for the Cube. It was just one person flying off at the mouth apparently and not based in fact.

As for the Cube being "third" (depends on your definition), there does seem to be a lot of Nintendo hate going around for some reason lately. Which is sad, it feels a lot like the end of Sega did, which was all generated by anti-hype, since the Dreamcast is still one of the best systems ever realeased. At this point though, I don't care, I just want Nintendo games, and I'll buy whatever system they're on, even if they're the only developer for that system.

As for the GB Player, I'm getting one too, hopefully tonight if they're in stock at Gamestop. Can't wait to play some more Wario Ware on the big screen. :)
