Heroin. He's been shooting up and it's screwing up his circulatory system. Either that, or he's been beating on Laura.

Remember the show, That's My Bush? "One of these days, Laura... I'm gonna punch you in the face!"

Wow, maybe he'll die soon? Yeah, and maybe I'll win the lottery without playing, too. ;)

And as an aside, I liked "That's my Bush". It was on the border of being too like a real sitcom - meaning I'm sure some people thought it wasn't poking fun at sitcoms...alas, though, it was good stuff for the most part.
