symbioidljSo I'm reading Kuro5hin, and see a link to this article on abc news about an Iraqi Vice President suggesting that the needless slaughter of lives be avoided by a simple solution. If Dubya wants to "have at it" with Saddam, the two should duel. Actually, the idea is that three officials, President, Vice-President, and one other official of each nation duel with their respective counterparts.
I for one say YES! I'm all for it. Come on you fucking gun nut Georgie. You're such a fucking cowboy, where's your fucking balls when it comes down to it? Fortunate son always comes to mind when I think of the military and how those people get out of actually having to die. Yeah, W was in the Air National Guard, but he was essentially in reserves, never fought combat. But he "served his country"... Bah! Anyways, I think this would be an exciting way to deal with the situation. Pay per view!
But I suppose a couple bullets isn't worth billions to the arms manufacturers of the US of A...
In related news, Israel is deploying a missile defense shield around it's cities. Looks to me like this may be a prototype that America is wanting to test in actual situations. So we attack, Israel most likely gets missiled by Saddam, and we find out if the tech works. If it does... Bingo! We can strike up a deal to purchase the technology(or we already were the ones to develop it, and it's just another stage in the testing process) I can't help but see all these things as being related.
Speaking of Guns. I am a leftist. I'm not completely extremely radically left-wing, or orthodox left at the least. But I do oppose the liberal belief in only government owning weapons. I simply don't have the faith in any government to allow the absolute power over life and death to be given over to them. I believe in the right to self defense. However, I don't personally own any guns, nor do I ever expect to. They "ain't my thang"... But I see a need, since they exist, for the right for an individual to own guns.
That said, I hate the fucking NRA, and most of the other fucking right-wing crazy, racist, bigotted gun nuts in America. Why? Because they hate every other fucking amendment except number 2... Because they're too fucking stupid to realize that it isn't the ability to own a gun and fire it that makes you free. Having a gun doesn't stop a fascistic takeover. It's one element that can help, but if they control your mind. If they control the media, the educational system, in essence, as long as they can influence the common paradigm, they don't need to fire a single shot. You can be led like sheep to where you think is water, but it's nothing but a big pool of cyanide(or rather, chemically polluted waters, that the government won't clean up with tax-dollars, or force the corpos to clean up their own mess) for you to imbibe...
So boys and girls, if you're stupid enough, then go ahead, drink up and enjoy the lovely water that George W. Fucking Bush has given you. And stroke your gun in an orgasmic jack-off of delusional delight. "He's my hero! Heil W, I can have a gun!" And the poison drips further into your veins. Chemical Injection. Dubya's favorite past-time waits for you around the corner in his nice detention camps if you dare criticize hime.
