plants are emitting molecules that indicate damage to the self.  maybe to you, freshly cut grass doesn't smell so wonderful, but to me, it smells so good.  Was this some sort of symbiotic evolution of human olfactory senses and propagation and maintenance systems of grasses?  IOW, the domestication of grass into lawns?

Does the grass evolve this because it's more fit for it's propagation?
