So quickly, Salvia: Yeah, I took the extract around 11:15 by the time we got all set up. The basic experience was a drowsy feeling. Sort of "out of it"... I had a headache the whole time(but I had one before we started)... I wanted to hear Amber(by Autechre), cuz the disc Tony was playing was good, but too upbeat and light for what I wanted to hear. went into his bathroom closed the door and sat in the dark(he wanted to draw, so he had his lights dimmed, but I needed complete darkness) I sat in the dark for a good while, trying to experience something... *not* trying to experience something.... Lots of things. I had a couple things occur. I had flashes of very faint visuals, but nothing much. The one that I recall with any sort of meaning is the fore-arm of a creature with claws. It was either a Lion or Bear, but not sure which(it was faint and almost holographic green in some sense). It didn't do much but pass before my eyes. It was far away. But then I tried to work with the plant. And it said (in my own voice, however):

"You must work on this before you come to me."

and

"Intent"

So, what I surmise is that Lady Salvia wants me to learn how to work with spirit allies and dissociation(ie: meditiation, OBE's, dreamwork) without chemicals before I go back to her. Secondly, Intent. This is a term I've read with regards to shamanism, but never really truly understood the context until last night. This is not something to go into and just "see what happens" and learn to extract information. Instead, what I see is that the plant has a very strong spirit, and it wants a reason to be talked to. It's willing to teach, but I must be willing to learn, and be willing to ask specific questions(intent). If I go in open-minded without any sort of specificities, she can't answer my questions. Unlike Psilocybin(whom I've never had contact with, even though Terence has an affinity for) which doesn't really give specific answers that I've dealt with, but I've never gone with intent before. I've bee very careful not to confine the experience, but maybe in order to learn and grow, I need to push the bounds a bit and really try to work with the mushroom and the divine sage(Salvia)... intent intent intent. That shall be my mantra. And when I've gotten enough experience with mind-work, I shall return, but only when I have a reason. Mushrooms are open-ended and can learn from them either with or without intent, but for Salvia, I must bide my time.
