Here's something I've thought about before, but don't know if I ever posted it in my regular journal or not... Speaking of Aliens and such...
Have you ever heard of the Triune brain theory? Basically, the idea is that there are three layers to the brain that show a sort of evolutionary evolvement. The first layer, called the R-complex, is the sort of core that contains all the functions required for rudimentary survival as a complex organism. It's called the R-complex, because it's essentially what Reptiles have. Territory, Aggression, Mating, etc... Post Traumatic Stress Disorder affects this part of the brain, from what I understand. The second layer is the Mammalian complex, basically, it's what all Mammals have... The empathic aspect of mammals derive from this part of the brain, it's what allows mammals to form families instead of just dumping their eggs and letting their kids fight for survival. The third layer is, of course, the neocortex we humans are so fond of. It allows for abstract logic thought process, linguistic ability occurs here, etc...
Now from what I've read about classes of alien, there are generally three:
Reptilian: viewed as a sort of evil master race seeking total domination(like in V)
Mammalian: The Pleiadian beings of Love and Light are an example of this.
Greys: The ultra-scientific, logical, probing entities that like to poke prods up peoples asses...
Looking at each of these it's interesting that we see the topology of the human brain represented in these three kinds of entities. If there are more, please tell me, I'd be interested to know. I don't know much yet about aliens, really. I think it fits with the whole hermetic maxim: As above, so below.
Suki, I don't know if I've mentioned John Lillly to you, but I may have like back in Summer??? I don't recall.
Anyways, hope you all are doing well.
Peace and Love,
dave
