Atari 2600 - Warlords
This was Brent's and I totally concur. I remember when I first played it(late in the game... no pun intended) It was ca. 1995, Tony busted out the ol' Atari(I think it was his), and our band rocked the 4 player action. After playing it, I wanted to do a remake called Joylords(as our band at the time was called Corduroy Joy... Each castle/paddle was a member of the band, in theory)... Runner up would be that Tank game.
Arcade - I've not played too many, but I would have to place Street Fighter 2 in there. But I think, ultimately, either Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man or Centipede.
NES - Mega Man II was brents choice... I pick the other that he mentioned:
Super Mario Bros 3... Tanooki Mario! I mean, it doesn't get better than that. I have to admit, I owned an NES, but didn't have a lot of games for it.
Master System - ?
Didn't own, can't say. I do remember watching Brent play it, w/Phantasy Star, and did play a little Afterburner(I think it was that) was that the jet one? With the firedragon things? I liked that. I think it may have come with 3D glasses?
TurboGrafx-16 - ???
Again, never played. Though I do remember the fucking Bonk ads in every single fucking comic book I bought in that time period. Christ. I also remember when Brent got the unit from the company to review games on. I think that's what happened, wasn't it? Or he and Rob shared it, or something.
Gameboy - Tetris
I agreed with Brent on this. I didn't play any other GB games, aside from that and Mario. Both were good. But Tetris, you must admit, was the "killer app"
Atari Lynx - ???
Genesis - Mickey's Magic Castle?
That's the only game I can think of that I've played on it besides some fighting game Tony got back in the day. I think the castle game was on Genesis. I enjoyed it, even if it was Disney.
Super NES - Zoop
A little game that I've never played on the actual system, but I've played on PC and Emulator(which is broken after you get 5 springy things... grrr) It's such a great addictive puzzle game. I wish I could find the actual PC version. Not many people have played it, but I liked it.
PC/Mac - Hmmm....
Well, this is where a majority of my gaming has been. I'd have to give Quake 2 and 3 a shout out. And Warcraft 3 rocked my fucking world. And one can never forget Hitchhikers Guide Infocom game. That game rocked!
Playstation - Parappa The Rapper
I agree with Brent on this. I would have to put Tekken 3(I think it was that, or it was 2, I don't remember) in as well.
Nintendo 64 - Goldeneye for Multiplayer - Super Mario 64 for single player. I thought Zelda 64 was WAY THE FUCK OVERHYPED!!!
Dreamcast - Hands down for me, it was Powerstone. I just wish they'd make a new version for a newer console. NFL2K was amazing in it's day, you have to say that as well. IMO it was, at least. I'm not a big sports fan, so I can't say for sure.
Playstation 2 - Don't own, but may think Katamari if I got it, or something like Rez, or most likely Ratchet and Clank(and sequels) and Jak and Daxter(and sequels) But can't say for sure.
Gameboy Advance - So far, I've not really gotten good games for it. I only own 3, the Megaman X is too tough. Zelda is OK. The RPG I have is shit... forgot what it's called even. I think I would really like Fire Emblem and Advance Wars though. And the little I've played of WareWare is amazing!
Gamecube - Super Monkey Ball
That was Brent's and I'm inclined to agree (though I've played MB2, not 1 aside from a little when at Brent's) But personally, I really like Viewtiful Joe. I would change a few things about it(the save system), but as a game, it overall rocks! It's a bit tough, but the design and implementation is still quite sweet.
and that wraps it up.
