So, I'm not sure what happened. On Friday, I accidentally bumped the switch on, and it booted up. I forgot about it until a bit later, and attempted to shut it off by holding the button down, but it didn't shutdown. Decided I'd plug the monitor in later to deal with it. forgot it again. And so today, I plugged the monitor in, and it was all fucked up, but eventually generated the desktop, but there was no mouse(and yes, it was plugged in)... The keyboard worked, but I don't know any of the commands to shutdown. I pressed a set of possible combos, and think I stumbled upon it, because it gave me the shutdown menu, but then it didn't respond to it properly. Finally I just decided to unplug it. I replugged, and heard a whirring-clicking sound. Wasn't sure what it was, so I opened the case, it seems to be the hard drive. So now, when i turn it on... The whirring clicking ceases after a few seconds(in fact, I think that may have stopped doing that altogether), but for the boot sequence it sits on the apple, and after a period gives me the international sign for "no"(you know, the red circle with line through it, except it's of course, stylishly grey) It is nice to know that when the computer won't boot, at least it does it in style ;P

Brent, do you have any clue what maybe up with that? Would I need to somehow get OSX 10.3 again? Does the OSX install check the hard-drive for bad sectors, or will I just pretty much have to junk one of the drives? Any help would be appreciated.

This might help:

You'll probably need OS X install disks, which I don't think I ever made for you. If you need them, let me know, I'll make some copies and send them to ya.

you didn't make a copy, i think we were short of time.

i'll try the pram reset first and monkey with that. i'm not gonna deal with that tonight, maybe in the coming days. if you could get me a copy of the install disks(or if you have a way to get me the iso's to burn somehow) that would be great.
