So now, i'm looking at a map, and it shows the number of reports by zip code, and in madison there were quite a few:

zip, level, number of reports

53705, 3, 6
53711, 3, 13
53713, 3, 2
53715, 3, 5
53704, 3, 3
53703, 3, 10

-----------
we're 53703...

The thing that intrigues me is the fact that not only are there this many people that experienced this at 1:00 am on Monday and were awake to report it, but that there are this many reports. That this many people went on line and searched out the USGS site and filled in the form(as I did)... how many other people out there felt it and didn't fill out a report.

I dunno why, I'm just so psyched by this, because I've never experienced it before. I'm sure I'd not be as excited if I had actually suffered a real problem with this.

I'm just wondering how long it will take for a bigger shake on the New Madrid fault to occur, and am appreciating how ironic it is that these quakes are hitting as I prepare to move to Cali.
