i only had to do xmame, and not the gxmame frontend, and yes indeed. after recompiling it with joystick support, I can now gladly use my joystick with it!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I'm so happy.
Now, sadly, I have to fucking work on the shit I brought home from work, since left early on Friday after not feeling well. sigh. but at least I got that done.:)
