MELBOURNE--An online marketing company is promoting a new technology that lets advertisers intercept e-mail as it enters the mail server and "wrap" it in advertising tailored to the recipient.
Unlike conventional unsolicited e-mail known as spam, where ads arrive in someone's in-box as separate e-mail, the new Admail technology from Melbourne-based Revo Networks places advertising within the body of the message regardless of its origin.
Revo CEO Robert Pickup said the company's partners and customers include free, Web-based e-mail services that generate revenue through advertising as well as conventional POP e-mail services, in which messages are received and held by an Internet service provider's server

Can someone sue these guys for interfering with contents of your email? I mean, it's not like snail-mail advertisers can demand that your letters be opened up and stuffed with their shit, so why should these fuckers be allowed to do that with e-mail? It's a violation both of the sender and reader. Will encryption prevent it? Because if not, then it's worse than snail-mail. Encryption acts as an envelope, but if they can still attach shit to it even if it's encrypted then what? That's like painting the envelope as it goes through the system.
Fucking slimey piece of shit assholes. And we've evolved beyond amoeba?
