Let's take the most anti-social person in the office, then put them smack dab in the middle of all the offices, so when people talk, they come out and congregate in the middle around HIS desk. Let's put some of the more social people in the offices in the back instead of in the middle, so they have to walk out and talk in the central area where the most anti-social person is.
Then let's expect him to not be mentally fucking drained from all the babbling.
Good idea?

Ya know, everytime I try to give the benefit of doubt to profit driven entities (and yes, we all are profit driven in some sense), I really find out that I should just stop believing in some mythical "consumers demand". I should realize (fuck how long have I been on this planet?) that companies exist for one thing only. To make money.
And they will do so in the most annoying, obnoxious, retarded (sorry, there) way.
Whether it's forcing ever more ads onto a userbase who doesn't want them, or charging obscene amounts of money for a software tool that should be given for free (while restricting other methods of dealing with a dataset -- see my friends only post on that).
And we wonder why quality work is a joke. You can't take pride in what you do when you have to do it cheap. You can't take pride in what you do, when you have to make so many compromises to compete.
*sigh*
