So, Rosemary and I went out today. This is what we did...

1) We went to eat a breakfast(well, I ate, she already ate beforehand), and then discussed finances and all that fun stuff on how to divvy up our checks towards bills and shit. It ended up as we thought... We each felt it was uneven. Except, I felt bad for her, and she felt bad for me, in terms of sacrifices we're making. So at least we both want to do more for each other, instead of trying to argue for less sacrifice from our respective selves. I don't know if that made sense.

2) Went to St. Vinnies and picked up a ghetto couch and chair, with delivery, for 50 bucks. It'll be delivered next saturday... YAY!!! I didn't think it was that ghetto, but rosemary says it is. Yeah, it's orange with wood framework, but it ain't that skanky.

3) Went to Target, then Best Buy then Toys R Us.... Got nothing at target, Neon Genesis DVD, disc 2(man, it's gonna cost a fortune to get them all!!!), and Rosemary got a little pack of 12 games(ie: chess, checkers, backgammon, mancala, etc...)

4) Went back to her place and played them for a while... Then cuddled and snuggled and she gave me a backrub with her feet, and we found that that's the best way for her to give me a backrub. YAY!!! I love giving backrubs, so it's cool that we can both give rubs now and nice ones that work for each other.

5) Borrowed the OSHO book I got her for xmas, which she hasn't had time to read.
..............

Also, Tony's phone is down. I don't know why. I'll have to stop over there tomorrow to find out what's up. He hasn't called me either. That fucker. I have no clue what's going on.

Tangee took her medicine last night... I finally got her to take it, now she's eating again. She wasn't eating again for a couple days... Grr... So, I've decided i"m gonna give it to her every day. She was looking tired and all... But now she's back to her feisty self.

Gonna go watch disc 2 now... Or maybe I should just try to go to sleep a little earlier than "normal"...

Peace out y'all....

so, I think i figured out why my computer is running so hot... I think the fan on the power supply is shot. Fuck. Oh well, at least I figured out what's wrong. Piece of shit. I think I'm just gonna get a barebones system in a few months, since I've already got plenty of drive space and the other shit I need. Just a new case, motherboard, processor, powersupply and ram... Yeah, that's the ticket!

Gotta go put the case back on the system now.

Smart Tags...

I've been Thinking about M$'s new Smart Tags in IE 6.0 and Windows XP. Upon first thought, it appears another evil scheme designed to commercialize and rule the world... And believe me, it will. But, if implemented properly, it can add a new experience to the web. Imagine, for instance, that you're a web developer... You run a site with information on a topic or three. What if you could create your own smart tags, and someone who likes your site could then "subscribe" to your smart tags. Now, whenever someone runs across a word that you found interesting links to, instead of having to go to your page, they can find links directly from the page that you think they might be interested in(cuz you are too...) I wouldn't mind subscribing to something like a slashdot smarttag or something. As long as the option to turn off smart-tags that might be forced upon you is there, and you have the ability to add your own, I think it could be a tremendous innovation.... Too bad it's fucking proprietary.

Also, I've thought about Hypertext and how static it is. Even so called DHTML is non-interactive in the way I envision. Imagine the ability to highlight specific text within a document and bookmark that... Instead of having to deal with a whole page. And imagine being able to collect all these selections within a unified document... This document could be a sort of Topical Research Center or something. Whereby all the data a person is collecting on a topic can be readily accessed, along with the Reference URLs... The ability to append notes to this document should be allowed as well. Possibly even having a sort of smart-tag system where collaborators could append notes on a page, and cross-reference and mark up, in a sort of overlay document that would be accessible to the collaborators. I don't know exactly how it would all work, nor do i necessarily have the inclination to design or implement the thing(not that I even have the coding skills to put forth such an effort. Yes, I can code "hello world" in Basic, Pascal, C and C++, but I can't do much more than that. And certainly not in Windows or any such thing)

Just some ideas. What do you think?
