I got that thing about the Mayans from rotten.com it's their entry on the apocalypse...

sub_conscious earlier in reply, was that point where they talk about the Mayans spending time meticulously plotting each hour til 2012.........(dunno if that's actual fact, however, don't know too much about the Mayan calendar system, save for the basics that most people(well most of "us" anyways) know)
