Behind the cut I've transcribed an old letter my Grandfather (Mom's dad, the bloke in the botulism photo -- Claude Womack in that couples photo) sent to my grandma and his kids (prolly my mom and her older brother (Dave)-- mom was the second oldest, IIRC)

Wow, I'm actually tearing up a bit myself after reading and typing it all in!  So sweet and sad!
